Youth Business Conference is a project for young people, which is focused on supporting education, gaining experiences and practical knowledge in the area of entrepreneurship. The target group consists of active and creative young people up to 18 years old.

• Allow talented young people to develop their skills, motivate and help with the implementation of their ideas, support their personal development and enterprise activities.
• Arrange connection between specialists and young people to discuss and share experiences.
• Motivate and enhance interest in further developing entrepreneurial skills.
• Raise awareness and knowledge of entrepreneurship among young people and contribute to the overall competitiveness of the Czech Republic.
• Fulfill one of the priorities of the new EU Youth Strategy in the field of action 3 - Creativity and Entrepreneurship.

Active young people with the spirit of enterprise will be able to enter three entrepreneurial competitons:

• Youth Business Project - The task is to write a (simplified) business plan which could be implemented in practise (tutorials and articles about writing business plans will be available on the website).
• Youth Business Idea - The task is to write an essay or an article on a topic given beforehand. Use of language will be considered as well as the content.
• Youth Business Knowledge - The task is to answer the questions about business, economy and investing published on the website.

In May 2010 all the participants will be invited to the nationwide conference which will take place in Prague. At the conference the final results of the entrepreneurial competitons will be announced and the winners will be given a chance to present their projects. The programme will be full of lectures, discussions and presentations. During the conference there will be many opportunities for creating new contacts, acquiring new information and getting new inspiration for the next entrepreneurial activities.

The project is organised by the Youth Business Network, NGO focused on promoting self-development of young people especially in the field of entrepreneurial skills, organising conferences, seminars, competitions and other educational and cultural activities.

The project could be presented or implemented in other European countries as a good practise for supporting young entrepreneurs. In the future, the international exchanges could be organised.

During the year, several thematic seminars and meetings for young people could be organised. Some of them could be in the form of visits to companies or institutions, which would allow young participants to meet the real specialists and discuss business matters with them.
